"We flew into Pittsburgh today and decided to take my mom out for dinner. She recommended Johnny's Italian restaurant, so that's where we went. We started by sharing a delicious Caesar salad with homemade dressing. We also enjoyed a bottle of Reporta Sangiovese at a 40% discount, a nice deal for dining on a Wednesday. My mom ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, which she loved. I started with Arancini balls and then had the Veal Saltimbocca a La Romano, while Mike chose the Veal Marsala. Both dishes were excellent. We ended up taking leftovers back to our hotel to enjoy during the week. Our waitress was fantastic, taking our orders, making suggestions, and even adjusting our drinks to our preferences. I loved the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, which was decorated with Christmas ornaments. It really put me in the holiday spirit."

I absolutely loved this restaurant! Wheelchair accessibility was easy, and the service was fantastic. I had dinner there and the price per person was over $100. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. I highly recommend trying the Caesar Salad with Anchovies. View menu

I have visited this restaurant several times and recently tried the pork chops, which were delicious. I also had the house salad with Johnny's dressing and meatballs. Keep in mind that this is a scratch kitchen, so be prepared to wait a bit longer for your meal. I recommend making reservations in advance.

Horrific experience tonight and the guests around us agreed!! Our waitress with rainbow colored hair was spilling drinks on the people next to us, messed up our order, waited 2+ hours for our food. I mean wow. Nothing was comped in our bill no manager came out despite multiple complaints by us and the tables around us!! Horrible!! Will NEVER be back. Service: Dine in View menu

My group of seven regular customers had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We were served a chocolate martini that spilled on one of our laps, and instead of apologizing, we were laughed at. One of us received veal instead of chicken, and couldn't even eat it after the mistake. The food took hours to arrive, and our drinks took a long time as well. The service was poor and there were no apologies given. When we complained, we were told to "call the boss", who did not even come out to apologize. Our bill was $300 with tip included, and we were shocked by the subpar service considering we have been loyal customers for years.

This is a wonderful little old-school Italian restaurant that may be in need of some updating, but that's part of its charm. The food reminds me of the days when I was young and my parents would take me out for spaghetti, just like in The Godfather movie. Everything I've tried there has been fantastic. I haven't had the chance to visit on a Friday night yet, but I hear they have music. Johnny's chicken is my favorite dish so far, and make sure to order a side of spinach. We're planning to go back tomorrow to sample all of the appetizers and celebrate a family member's success. I've tried many Italian restaurants and been disappointed, but this one is perfect for me.
