"My first impression of Manuel's: it's a lovely cafe/restaurant. I enjoyed sitting outside under the shade. The servers are polite and courteous. The basket of bread and butter they brought out was some of the softest bread I've ever had. It was fresh and warm! The food was okay. I wasn't thoroughly impressed but I wasn't disappointed either. The charcuterie board with the smoke salmon was fine but it lacked features of a typical charcuterie board such as some cheese slices, a few baguette, jam, another type of meat, or even a little fruit would have been a nice added touch. Not a boiled egg and chopped purple onions. Overall, I did enjoy my experience. Im excited to come back to explore more of the menu and also try some dessert."

**Ambiance**: It's Sunday, and there's quite a long wait if you don’t have a reservation—about 15 to 20 minutes. The background music is pleasant, featuring good jazz. I enjoyed the outdoor seating as well. I had the salmon, which was delicious.

Great quality of food for the price! Nice customizable options and a nice lunch spot. Warm lighting and great mood, however, slightly cramped inside so likely difficult for handicapped people to position themselves inside but there is outdoor seating! Service was accommodating and kind. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Not as good as it use to be. Our service here has been subpar the last two times I’ve visited. In past waiters we give complete details of menu/specials from the top of their head. Not anymore. Had to ask person serving food to bring more water waiter never checked on us. Asked for bread never got it. Person sitting beside us was asked if he wanted dessert said he wanted to go, appears he was waiting a long time for the check. My family really liked this place before but they’ve got two strikes in my book. I know they can do better.

"Hands down the best food I've had in Augusta. In Augusta for work, and have been trying out various restaurants with the work crew. This place I is the first that had me saying I'm coming back. EVERYTHING was good! Seating is limited and there was a short (10min) then from there it's either buffet style or takeout option. We dined in, which gave me a chance to sample EVERYTHING. I started with the salmon in lemon sauce. Not overcooked and just delicious. This was my favorite. Seconds were had. Next up was the fried pork loin. Probably my least favorite protein but still good. I'm not much of a pork person and still enjoyed. Then the barbeque chicken. This..was..good. seasoned to the bone. For sides, there was some corn and lima beans and plain rice. After this, we had the beef gumbo. The gumbo truth be told was more a soup. For me gumbo needs to be a little thicker...heartier. Whatever you want to call it delicious. The beef was seasoned well, tender and the broth flavoured with okras. There was also a salad bar, and I just had a fresh salad. Typical salad toppings with some.black olives and jalapenos to spice it up a little. Not sure about the dressing, I did without. Then everything was topped off with the peach cobbler. I enjoyed this as well, probably because it was not overly sweet. But I know people are passionate about their cobbler, so opinions will very. All in all, I'm definitely going back and look forward to different daily dishes. We were told when leaving tomorrow (Friday) is fried chicken day."
