"My daughter treated me to a special birthday dinner on April 14. The food was excellent and service was top notch. Prices were reasonable, atmosphere comfortable, tastefully hip music played as background added to ambiance and did not drown out conversation. Excellent creamy clam chowder tasted homemade, not canned. Calamari appetizer lightly breaded and fried to tender perfection. My daughter loved the shrimp scampi and I thoroughly enjoyed the red snapper, cooked to tender flaking perfection. and so fresh. Homemade mashed potatoes and buttered green beans deliciously prepared. Wait staff indulged my picky preference for a genuinely hot pot of Earl Grey tea taking my direction on how it should be prepared . (Woe to those restaurants who present a cup of tepid water with a teabag still packaged). Complimentary birthday dessert of my choice was the creme brulee served with a lit candle. I love fish and chips and this might have been my favorite of all time. Cooked perfectly with panko breading. Also if you like spicy get the strawberry jalapeño cocktail. It has the prefect amount of heat and delish! Ask for the bartender/server Destiny! She is fantastic!!! ??

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. The waitress made me feel right at home, as if I were having dinner with family. I enjoyed some amazing oysters, prepared in a stylish way, and it was well worth the trip all the way to Humboldt Bay for this fantastic meal.

Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere! New York Strip Steak was perfectly cooked, Shrimp Scampi was really tasty! Every sides were nice, but the brocoli was slightly salty. Love our cocktails and Crème brulé so much? We had a wonderful dinner here, definitely will come back in the future!

Overall, it was a nice meal. The food was excellent. However, I wasn't pleased to be charged for the bread. I was also quite frustrated to be questioned about the gravy for the potatoes. That said, it was the best gravy I've ever tasted at a restaurant—so props for that! The staff was capable, but they were a bit slow. View menu

I absolutely love fish and chips, and this could very well be my all-time favorite! They were cooked to perfection with a delightful panko crust. If you enjoy a bit of spice, I highly recommend the strawberry jalapeño cocktail. It strikes the perfect balance of warmth and flavor—delicious! Be sure to ask for Destiny, the bartender/server; she is absolutely fantastic!

Stopped here on a work trip from San Francisco and was completely blown away by the food, drinks, and service. Sarah was a PHENOMENAL server and deserved a raise for being so attentive. Food is all prepared fresh in house. The pear salad was amazing, as well as the shrimp and steelhead fish, all 10/10. I?m not sure I can try any other restaurant in the area on my next trip to Eureka because this spot is so good!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Oberon. We were seeking a nice dinner during our stay for the night, and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was fantastic, the music selection was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I even discussed making a point to visit Eureka every time, but sadly, the waitress informed us that they closed their doors on December 31st. We are regular guests of the Oberon. My husband and I work parents who love good food and atmosphere. Oberon staff always welcome us immediately, unless super booked they always find us a table and their food is good! I'll help you try the vanilla caroots. I don't know how they do it, but they're delicious and unique. I love her pear and pear salad, Flieduccine, and they make a middle steak! You have a full bar and beer on tap with a decent local selection. They are also child-friendly!
