"We visited Shank's over the weekend and found the place quite busy, but we managed to place our order without any delays. The staff at the counter were friendly and knowledgeable. Just a heads-up: while many items are labeled gluten-free, they share fryers and the kitchen is small, so be mindful of your gluten tolerance before getting too excited about the gluten-free fried seafood options. We ordered the fried clam strips and the lobster grilled cheese with chips, and the lobster portion was quite generous. The food was decent and not overly greasy. The view was fantastic; we enjoyed our meal while watching boats come and go. There is also a covered tent area, which provided us with some nice shade while we ate."

Quite honestly I have not eaten here but I have stopped by twice asking for water and offered to pay and both times the employees have graciously helped me out for free. Great customer service.

For a BYOB restaurant, I had high hopes for the food, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The prices were on the higher side, yet none of the dishes tempted me to return. Despite the lovely view, I didn't feel it offered good value for the money. Even with options like lobster, the food still tasted like something you'd find at a little league game. What a great find this is my second trip back! Had Lobster nachos and they were out of control good! First time I didn't realize they had a second story deck so I took advantage of that. Food was phenomenal service was outstanding in the view is gorgeous. Met the owner angie, super friendly and you can tell everyone loves working there and serving up great food and service. The food at Shanks is mediocre, but the $3 per person charge for consuming alcohol is unreasonable. The rationale behind this fee is for uncorking bottles, providing an ice bucket with ice, and offering glasses. Unfortunately, anyone drinking from a can or bottle of beer is also subjected to this charge, without receiving any of the mentioned services. This policy feels like an unfair surcharge. Shanks should reconsider their alcohol policy if they want to attract repeat customers.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when we arrived, but we were genuinely impressed! Each of our lunches was absolutely delicious. The fish tacos were the best I've ever tasted, and my wife's scallops were cooked to perfection. My friend, who doesn't eat seafood, raved about her cheeseburger, calling it the best she's had.
