"Everything started off well, drinks and appetizers came quickly. Waiting for the main courses took forever. A group of ordered pasta for mains and we spent minutes in the restaurant. The server came to us twice saying that the dinner would be right out, but a lot of time went by. We were really happy with the quality of food. Very flavorful.When we asked for our bill the server took another minutes to bring it to us. After walking past our table times, I said that we really needed the cheque. She gave us lots of attitude and rudely said “good night” after slamming the bill on the table. She could have multitasked by bringing our bill while serving other tables, but that definitely seemed like a challenge. We may be back because of the food quality. But they need to do better with the customer service. For appetizer and pasta dishes, the experience should not have been minutes"

The waiter seemed new. Didn’t bring bread at the beginning. Looked lost. I asked for Diet Coke and he brought me Diet Pepsi knowing there’s no Diet Coke

Another great experience at this restaurant, the first time we’ve dined out in years. Very pricey but that’s why they call it “fine dining”! At least it was great. We’ll be back…

The food was outstanding. We ordered the calamari appetizer. Entree were the crab cake, seafood fra Diablo, and pan seared scallops with corn risotto. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Creme brûlée for desert. The Manhattan was excellent. Can’t wait to go back

Food was nothing special; the beets in the beet salad were old and tough. The pasta dishes were nothing different than Olive Garden or standard chain fare, at the cost. Service was slow and inattentive. Never asked about beverage refills or a second cocktail. Never offered a dessert menu. Very basic. And ridiculously expensive for what we had. Would not recommend. I have generally loved the filet, but it was very salty and the spinach and potato were a bit greasy. My husband loved his lamb chop and my friend was disappointed in his chicken carbonara. He only ate half of his meal which is not the usual.Our waiter was a very nice young man, but very young and obviously inexperienced. The wait was long for our meal to be served, but we were patient and did expect that to be the case.I will probably take a break from Sophia's for a bit. Will try it again at some time

Sofia's Italian Steakhouse is a local favorite of mine. There is nothing on the menu I would not try. If you like lamb, they manage to cook lamb lollipops to perfection. They get a great sear and never overcook them. Prior to the pandemic, the front of the housebar area was my preferred location to sit. They expanded seating, I am guessing to allow for more space between tables and added another level. The stairs leading to the upper dining space are beautiful, but when people used them, the floor and our high top shook a lot. It was an odd experience. I felt as if I needed to hold on to my wine glass all night. Just giving fair warning. I will be back, but may sit at the bar or get a table...
