"I was thrilled to find fresh fish options right from Lake Michigan! After some discussion, all three of us decided on the two-piece whitefish meal. Our server was incredibly patient, professional, efficient, and courteous. The other two enjoyed their adult beverages, but I skipped mine since I was driving. In the photo, you can see my plate with a bite of fish missing from the bottom left corner. The French fries are underneath the fish, and the coleslaw is in the cup at the upper right corner. Thank you, Terry, for your amazing establishment that feeds us year-round!"

I love this place. The food is great and there is a big variety of menu items. But it’s the staff that keeps us coming back. Everyone is so nice and friendly. They feel like family. ?

Service was super fast and friendly at 6 PM on a summer Saturday. Food was hot and good. Wet burrito was massive. The cod fish and chips were huge and fresh. And omg the key lime pie. To die for. Highly recommend. We’ll be back. View menu

We had lunch at the pub while on vacation...it's a very cool place, with all kinds of old signs, bikes, and more from the 1950s all around. There is plenty of seating inside, as well as tables that are right on Bridge St, the main drag through town. Staff was very friendly and the food was terrific...I particularly enjoyed my blackened whitefish sandwich, which was made from locally caught, fresh whitefish.

"DOWNRIGHT FANTASTIC!! This is a must visit restaurant! And you need reservations if you want to eat here on a weekend. We drove by on the way to a tasting at The Blue Dot winery, which is .5 miles away, also fabulous. We decided to go at 4pm when they opened to see if we could get a table without a reservation. We got there right at 4pm and so did about 25 other people. Luckily we were one of the first 2 to enter the doors when they opened. There were no tables left but since we were early, we were able to snag seats at the bar. The bar is U shaped and surrounds the counter where the food orders come up. The bartender, Liz was clearly a seasoned professional. She could feel when the food hit the counter. even with her back turned. The plates were just about to be set down and she was grabbing them to serve them. She was very attentive and had a bar full of people eating dinner as well as having drinks. We both ordered the 10 piece shrimp dinner that Laura at the Blue Dot winery recommended. We ordered half fried and half steamed with mashed potatoes and I ordered green beans and my husband opted for asparagus. We split an order of crab cakes as an appetizer. The crab cakes were phenomenal! Best crab cakes we have ever had, even in Maryland! Sorry, Maryland peeps! The shrimp were beyond amazing. The fried shrimp had to have been made by a French pastry who loves fried food. That 's the only thing that makes sense. My husband doesn 't even like any fried food and is a tough restaurant critic and he was totally gob smacked at their deliciousness, as was I! The shrimp was tender w a light, crispy batter. The steamed shrimp were so tender as well. Hands down the best shrimp we have ever had. They advertise as the best shrimp and they are not kidding! The coleslaw was so fresh and flavorful. Best coleslaw ever. The green beans and asparagus were bright green and fresh and cooked to perfection. Nothing I hate more than dark, limp, over cooked green beans. The mashed potatoes were light and fluffy and yummy as was the bread with the seasoned butter, This was one of the best meals we have ever had and we are well traveled. The restaurant was super clean, as were the restrooms. The staff is very efficient. It 's one thing to cook good food and another to run a restaurant efficiently. To cook amazing food, serve it hot and with excellent service is another level. If you are ever in Charlevoix, this is the place to eat. If you don 't like seafood there 's other choices. We are leaving town tomorrow and we were sad to find out it 's closed tomorrow because we were ready to come back again!"

"They have both sweet and savory crêpes. Stick with the sweet! I absolutely LOVED the ‘sweet’ banana and Nutella crêpe! I’d give it 5 stars, but the ‘savory’ crepe that I ate first was not good. It was supposed to have caramelized onions, spinach, mushrooms and Swiss cheese, but all I could taste and feel as I bit down was a lot of spinach. I told the cashier (when I went back in to get a sweet crêpe) that it was like biting into turf. It really was. She said to ask for less spinach next time. How was I to know it would have a dense stack of spinach? I couldn’t even finish it. She listened to my feedback and was friendly, but she didn’t offer to do anything to make it right. I still ordered a sweet crêpe because I heard how good those were and I still wanted to try one. It would’ve been good Customer Service to do something to make it right, (I.e. apologize and refund the money for the savory crêpe or comp the sweet one) but she didn’t. EDIT: I appreciate the owner’s comment and offer to make it right. If I can get back there before I leave the area I will. 2ND EDIT: I went back in and the owner was totally different than his response on here. He said I shouldn’t “expect a refund just because I ordered something I didn’t like” and chastised me for posting my review. (I did try to address it with the cashier when I went back in, and I still ordered a sweet crêpe even though she did nothing to address it). My review was very positive about the sweet crêpe and honest about the savory one so others may want to stick to the sweet (or ask for less spinach, like the cashier suggested for next time). Maybe I just got a bad one with tough spinach. I don’t know, but it was hard to bite into and I couldn’t finish eating it. I normally love spinach things, which is why I ordered it. He had a totally different tone in person than his response on here. He said he’d refund my money. I told him not to bother after how he was speaking to me in front of other customers and I just wanted to leave. I thought he was going to be as nice as his response on here and then I’d update my review my ratings. Quite the opposite happened when I went in there. I won’t be back after how he treated me. Too bad, I really liked the sweet crêpe."
