"Buffalo Block is a great choice for food when you are visiting Billings, MT. The restaurant has a convenient downtown location. The food is styled as an upscale Steak House with a very nice menu, craft libations, and an excellent wine list. The staff answering phones and taking reservations could be better. We called on the afternoon of our visit and requested a table for five. It was not super surprising to learn that the restaurant was fully booked...except it wasn't. Two members of our party did not get the message that our reservation had been moved to a different restaurant after learning the BB was full. When they arrived at 7pm the dining room and bar were certainly not full and could be construed as half empty. Thankfully our two party members who did not get the memo grabbed a table and we all were able to enjoy a great dinner at Billings, MT Buffalo Block. The best steak I’ve ever had, and I’m from cattle country in Canada. That says a lot! The butter aged new york strip was incredible. Can’t recommend this place enough, from a steak loving Canadian. The capaccio was amazing, the Mac and cheese and the truffle fries. Scallops were pretty decent . The bison ribeye was another not all it chalked up to be. Very disappointing. Dinner for two.. oysters, salad, filet and prime rib. Everything was great. Excellent timing between dishes. Staff was so kind! We were originally seated in a beautiful booth inside but decided to move outside to the patio last minute and they were very accommodating and kind about the request. Highly recommend!
