"Had breakfast here 3 days in a row, since our hotel was right next door and my European family is obsessed with American diner breakfast (on our last visit to SF, we ate at the other diner on the same block, but this one is better and cleaner . I have to say, as far as breakfast places go, this one was pretty good! The fresh fruit/yogurt platter was so large I couldn't finish it, and the veggie frittatas were surprisingly fresh and non-greasy. Having fresh-squeezed orange juice on the menu was a huge plus, since so many US places only offer the bottled stuff. The waiters were super-friendly and efficient, remembering all of our orders and special requests effortlessly. One thing to be aware of is that sometimes they include an 18% tip in the bill and sometimes they don't (in which case you need to tell the cashier that you'd like to add a tip."

My wife and I had breakfast there. She had Pecan and banana pancakes a day coffee. I had apple pancakes, orange juice, hot links, and hot tea.

Great place, the food was delicious and good price. I forgot my hat at the table and the manager found it, I returned 3 hours later hoping it was there and the manager gave it back.

Would give it a 6/5 stars. Loved having brunch here. The staff is welcoming, pleasant and very friendly. They have a lot of vegetarian options that can also be customized for your liking. Coffee is pretty good too. Highly recommend this cafe for a satisfying experience.

We went here for lunch. Nice friendly staff served us. We got coffees while looking at the menu. The coffees were warm but not hot. Disappointing. There is a great food selection on the menu. We ordered and didn’t wait long for our food. The food was very nice. The place was not busy and I hadn’t even finished my meal when the waitress pulled the plate away from me. We flew in to rainy, dreary San Francisco last night from the beautiful snowy mountains of Banff, Canada and we were feeling a little flat. We walked into Masons this morning and we were greeted by Alex who was so enthusiastic, funny and patient with all our menu changes that it adjusted our whole mood and created a super positive tone for our whole day. We have been traveling and eating out for 4 weeks and Alex is the best server we have met and the food at Masons is the best breakfast we have had to date. Such a great vibe. We will be back tomorrow and the next day (and asking for Alex of course)!

I went alone, and it was a little busy, so they asked if I'd be okay waiting for a small table. I didn't mind, and then about 5 minutes later they offered to sit at the bar. I did, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that's heavy set because the seats are on the small side and there's no back. There is a little rail along the bottom to rest your feet on if you're short, though. Didn't have to wait long to order, and the food came out quickly. I got the Reuben sandwich with fries and it was great. Very flavorful, not drybut not dripping, and the bread was delicious. The fries were pretty good too. I did sit for a while without a refill, but that might've been different if I was sitting at...
