"Pros: Good little local place to eat. No frills, pretty basic interior. A good menu, plenty of standards and some more interesting items too, like the Boom Boom Cauliflower Bites and the roasted Brussels Sprouts. Wait staff were super! Got the scallops and the portion was generous. It was seasoned well. Cons: a lot of the food did not seem homemade. The coleslaw side was very not good definitely tasted like too sweet bulk cafeteria slaw that comes in a jug. Ordered an iced tea and it too tasted metallic and canned which was very surprising because it 's the most basic thing to make fresh? The appetizers and fish were most likely bulk frozen too, they were edible but not fantastic. The scallops were cooked, but not broiled enough to get any browning. Overall, a nice little place with decent food, no wait, and filling. Wouldn 't take a date here but would stop back after a long day of hiking around Devil 's Lake."

We stopped in for a sandwich. My husband order onion rings as his side for an up charge. When we got are bill, they charged us for his sandwich with fries, which he didn’t get, then charged him full price of $6.95 for the onion rings. Food was okay, nothing to write home about, service was excellent! Too bad they don’t treat their customers like their server did. We definitely will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. Way Way to Pricey for what you get!

This definitely is a place to stop busy IF you like burgers and sandwiches. Broccoli soup was delicious, and cheese curds were on point!! On the other hand, the waitress we had for a party of 10 was not so great. We were her only table, and she made us go to the bar to get our drinks.. This is a very small restaurant/bar (mom and pop stop). Idk if she was new, but the bartender was great, and it seemed as though they were pretty upset with our waitress. All in all, the food was great. Like I stated, we had a party of 10, so everyone got a little Something different. Not a steak house!!

"Saturday 10/12/24 was my fourth visit to the distillery over the past seven years. Previous visits have been delightful. My enthusiasm for the place made my friends eager to try it on our weekend trip to Baraboo. We arrived just before 5pm. The restaurant and tasting room was packed. We were offered a table outside or we could wait until 7:30 for indoor seating. We opted for an outdoor table, which would have been great if there weren’t 20mph winds and temps in the 50s. Servers were overwhelmed but tried their best. There seemed to be a disconnect between the bar and the restaurant since we waited 20 minutes to receive a second drink after ordering. Bus staff talked loudly next to and over diners and really shouldn’t assume that people don’t speak languages other than English. Host was a tad condescending. Perhaps some remediation and retraining of staff is warranted? I completely understand that restaurants operate on thin margins and that food prices have increased dramatically since 2020. Regardless, prices were rather high given portion size and quality. I live in Chicago and visit New York City regularly. Having dined extensively in both cities I was shocked at the menu prices at Driftless Glen. Cocktails contained a heavy pour so that’s always a positive. I’ll give Driftless Glen another try next time I’m in Baraboo, but it won’t be my first choice as it has been in years past."
