"Stopped at this place on a Saturday night without a reservation. It was the two of us so we figured we'd chance it. Great call because we were seated as soon as we entered the building. We were greeted by the waiter who had on his mask. And was able to take a seat at almost anywhere in the restaurant. there was not too many other people there which was great for us. as soon as we sat down the waiter brought us water and gave us a menu. The other waiter came in and let us know what the specials while we ordered our drinks. I had originally ordered a prosecco but then when I took a second look at the menu I saw a cocktail called Montego Bay and I had to have it. Great call on my end! That drink was super delicious; so much so I had to have one more before I left the restaurant. For an appetizer the waiter suggested a shrimp appetizer. it was a shrimp with a reduction of white wine sauce with garlic and red pepper flakes and it came with toasted bread. It was really delicious we almost finished up all the sauce. The waiter provided the specials for the night which was a paella and a rack of lambs and that's exactly what we ordered. We did not regret it at all. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The rack of lamb was cooked really well and the paella was delicious without being too overdone. I believe towards the end of our meal the chef had came out and asked us how it was and we had to give him his praises. if you're in the area and looking for somewhere to eat, definitely stop by this place. the ambiance was really interesting with a whole lot of statues which seem to be African statues all on the walls. Very retro artsy decor. The staff was great service was really well done. And again do not go without trying the Montego Bay cocktail. I may just come back just for that cocktail. Yes it was that good."

If you want some really good food, this is the place. The wait staff and everyone is great, friendly and helpful. This could be my favorite restaurant in Manhattan.

We had the Shepherds pie and the mussels. Very rustic theme. Service staff was friendly and helpful. We had a late arrival to our party. It was no problem. No need for reservations on a Sunday evening.

Staying around the corner from here, scrolled through 25 restaurants and decided on Yatenga. Well glad I did, good vibes, awesome food, family of 4 and would come back every week if we didn't live in Australia. Thanks guys, loved it! View menu

I had a wonderful late dinner on a Friday night. The steak au poivre was outstanding, and I was impressed by the generous portion sizes. This place has a cozy, home-cooked vibe and the staff is very friendly. It’s a welcoming and unique restaurant with a wide variety of options to choose from.

Came here for brunch with friends and I was not disappointed. The food tasted amazing and the drinks were strong and on point. The music was also really nice and made the experience even better. We didn't feel rushed by the staff which is also a major plus. I had the a la vodka with chicken but the burgers looked so good so I'm going back just for that

The best restaurant in Harlem! Authentic French country and rustic food made by a star chef, served by genuinely welcoming and nice wait staff. Simple and rustic decor complements the unpretentious food and makes for a leisurely and luxurious diningexperience unlike anywhere else. Truly a rare place that is a destination for people who know food, celebrate diversity and loveHarlem. One of the only places like it and the best of any around. View menu

We came here on a Friday evening. Initially, there were 4 of us but we were expecting some additional family members to join us. The waiter was nice enough to allow us to sit at a larger table that would accommodate our total party. He was very nice and personable. He gave us some good menu suggestions and checked on us often. The food and drinks were spot on. Everything was great except for people walking past asking for money, asking to taste our food etc. Unfortunately, the restaurant can't manage people walking past, but it makes for an uncomfortable dining experience. Next time we go, we'll avoid the outdoor seating closer to the street or just dine indoors.

I've been coming to Yatenga for years but haven't been back for the last two years I moved out of the city. Now that I'm back Yatenga was one of my first places I had to go. One of my first apartments was above Yatenga so I remember the delicious happy hour specials and truffle fries. As life goes things change and so did the fries but not the customer service. My sister and I came here on a Wednesday right when they opened at 4pm. We still practice socially distancing as much as possible so we decided to sit outside in their heated patio. The tables are spaced out enough and the heaters definitely are needed as it gets cooler here in the city. Tom, the bartender was incredibly kind and shar...

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
