"The menu was limited but did have a few appealing options. One thing that struck me was the music; it was blasting, reminiscent of what you'd hear in a pub. We requested the staff to turn it down, which they did, but only for about five minutes. It was clear there was a party happening in the tavern area, with both on-duty and off-duty employees. One off-duty employee, who appeared quite intoxicated, was shouting from the tavern and eventually wandered into the dining area, hollering and even walking into the kitchen, which seemed highly inappropriate. We started with breadsticks, which were disappointingly hard. The dipping sauces were passable in flavor but served at room temperature. We also ordered side salads and an entrée. The salads were well-portioned and tasted decent. However, before I had even finished my salad—about four minutes after it was served—the entrée arrived. This caught me off guard, as I felt rushed to finish my salad. I asked if they could wait to serve the entrée until I was done, a request I didn't think was unreasonable, especially given how long I'd had my salad. I tried one of the evening specials, which, while not bad, certainly wasn't worth the $27 price tag. The seafood was rubbery from being overcooked, and the sauce was very watery. By the end of our meal, it became evident it was time to leave as staff started putting chairs up on the tables around us—a practice I would never allow during my time managing restaurants. This place has great potential but needs stronger leadership and a better understanding of true hospitality to realize it."
