"I decided to try this restaurant after discovering that the one we originally intended to visit had nearly a two-hour wait. I really appreciated the option to make a reservation online; it was quick and easy! Given the positive reviews, I thought I'd give it a shot, and I’m glad I did. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. It was a bit loud for my liking, but the delicious food and attentive service more than compensated for that. The steak was among the best I've ever had—cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I also tried the Dijon balsamic Brussels sprouts, and they were incredible! I was initially hesitant about them, but my wonderful waiter assured me that if I didn't like them, he would find me something else. While it is a bit on the pricey side, it was absolutely worth it!"

Their Caesar salad is hearty and outstanding—definitely one of the best I've ever had. However, the lamb chops are undoubtedly the best value in town, as well as some of the most delicious lamb chops you'll find in Austin.

Outstanding! Despite having lived in Austin for quite some time, I can't believe we never visited ALC before. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. We will certainly return. A big shout-out to our server, Michael!

My new favorite steakhouse in Austin! I enjoyed the grass-fed steak along with broccoli and a loaded baked potato—everything was fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly and helped me select the perfect wine to complement my meal. I also really like the John Wayne room, which is ideal for gatherings of five or more people.

I had a fantastic experience at Austin Land and Cattle! The Ribeye was incredibly tender, and the Argentinian Steak was the best my wife has ever tasted. As a shrimp enthusiast, I would have loved to see 1-2 more shrimp in the cocktail, but it was still delicious! The mac and cheese is a must-try as well! I would definitely return for a dinner date or if friends visit from out of town. View menu

I organized a dinner for my coworkers at this restaurant, a place I've visited many times and always enjoyed for its incredible steaks. This time, however, I opted to try the southern-style chicken fried Ahi Tuna for a change. It came with asparagus and two egg rolls, and it was absolutely fantastic! While everyone else was raving about the steaks, the Ahi Tuna truly stole the show! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food was disappointing. The Caesar salad dressing was overwhelmingly strong, the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were overcooked and tough, and the filet mignon was inconsistently cooked—one half was well done while the other was medium, even though I had ordered it medium rare. The baked potato was watery and not enjoyable at all. The lobster tail was also overcooked. Overall, it was an unpleasant dining experience for my birthday dinner.

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at this restaurant, and the meal exceeded our expectations. He chose the ribeye with bourbon pepper sauce, while I opted for the snapper with verde sauce. For our sides, he had asparagus and I went with broccolini, which was perfectly crisp and had a lovely spicy kick. We couldn't resist adding mac and cheese to our order, despite me asking for it without truffles and bacon. We also indulged in desserts, which were so satisfying that we ended up going to bed early afterwards. We have no regrets at all! View menu

I've been eager to try this restaurant for years, but to be honest, it fell a bit short of my expectations. The escargot was good, the Caesar salad was decent, and the Brussels sprouts were pleasant, but the truffle mac and cheese lacked flavor. On the plus side, the bone-in ribeye was quite enjoyable. I can't help but wonder if our experience was affected by dining on a Tuesday evening when the top chefs weren't in the kitchen. It's also possible that I had built it up too much in my mind given all the praise I've heard over the years. One thing I can definitely commend is the service—the staff were wonderful, and I have no complaints in that area.

We managed to get a last-minute reservation without knowing much about the restaurant except for its online reviews. The exterior doesn't do justice to the beautiful interior. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, checking on us at the perfect times and making sure our glasses were always filled. The food was outstanding. I ordered the wagyu steak, aged for 30 days, paired with asparagus and green chimichurri. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, incredibly tender and full of flavor. My wife chose the chicken breast with mac and cheese, and she enjoyed every bite. I can’t recommend this place enough—it has quickly become a favorite of ours, and it’s an experience we wi...

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
