"Our waiter appeared to be inexperienced. Even though I confirmed with him that I would be using a birthday coupon, I ended up having to pay full price for an extra meal because my order wasn’t covered by it. When I asked the manager for a discount based on the coupon, he was unhelpful. This resulted in a frustrating confrontation where I had to raise my voice, and after I paid, he walked away muttering that the situation was my fault. It seemed like he didn’t care whether I would ever return to the restaurant. Overall, my experience was disappointing. Should I consider coming back to this Black Bear Diner? At this point, my answer is a definite no!"

Loved the food. We had to wait for 20 min on a busy Sunday morning. Chicken Avocado Club sandwich was really nice. The season special Pumpkin sauce waffles with side of cream and maple syrup was refreshingly good.

Ordered the fried chicken dinner meal, it came with 2 sides, I got onion rings and fries, a salad. It was delicious! My hubby ordered the chicken red steak meal with pancakes. It was delicious as well. Excellent customer service at the Milpitas Black Bear! They never dissapoint! I greatly recommend:

Simply delightful! The pancakes are outstanding. The service is always friendly and inviting, creating a warm atmosphere. We ordered eggs (which can be made to your liking), bacon, and pancakes. The menu offers a great selection of choices. The food is excellent, and the service is exceptional. Plus, parking is very convenient.

I went to Black Bear Diner today for brunch and ordered the chicken fried steak. It took a while for our food to come out, but it tasted okay initially. However, when I started eating my hash browns, I found a small piece of plastic in my food. It appears to be a fragment from a nutritional label on a food package. This was my first time going to Black Bear Diner in years, but after this experience, it may be my last. View menu

My husband and I came here for dinner and the food was fairly decent. Three complaints: The time it took our waitress to do anything was excruciating. Was easily a 30 minute wait for a Cobb Salad and Stuffed French Toast which was excessive. Price. 3 pieces of blackberry stuffed french toast, small serving of fruit, and some whipped cream was $15+. A Cobb salad was $17+ and my husband it was meh, he wasn't unpleased but wasn't blown away either.

10/30/2022 very busy location. Coffee kept full. Food arrived without table settings. Was given one napkin for three people. Had to ask for extra napkins. Looks like waiter is new. Confirmed with waiter use of birthday coupon but it turns out the order was not the birthday coupon I had to pay full price for an extra meal. Manager not willing to discount for the coupon. Manager led me to have to raise my voice at him as I paid. After I paid, he walked away muttering that it was my fault. I paid full price and he did not care if I came back. All in all not a good experience. So should I come back to this Black Bear Diner? At this point it is NO!
