"Paradiso is my favorite local restaurant! The food is excellent and the drinks are expertly made. I love the diverse ways you can enjoy Paradiso depending on the restaurant's layout. You can sit at the bar and watch the game, sit by the window and people-watch, or sit at the counter in front of the pizza oven and witness the cooking magic right before your eyes. The menu offers a fantastic variety of options. My top picks are the crab and avocado salad, the ribeye steak, and the irresistible garlic fries. The burgers are a must-try as well. They also have some great vegetarian options! The clam chowder is better than anything I've had in San Francisco or anywhere else! The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is fantastic. So yes, this place is overpriced and yes, the food is not memorable, but it is always good and the wait staff always personable and helpful. When so many other East Bay restaurants have night-to-night issues with staff not showing up or not knowing the menu, Paradiso is reliable, efficient, and tasty.
