"Whilst the food was great I would definitely not recommend going. Customer service was shockingly bad, with 2 of our party in their 70s and being seated at a high table with high bar stools and zero leg room we politely asked if we could be moved. The woman behind the bar made no effort to look into whether a move could be accommodated and gave us a, quite frankly, look of disgusted for even asking. Services was desperately slow, with our entrees taking 45 minutes to come out and only did so when we chased and were suddenly ready but various dishes were cold. Following this our desserts took a further 25 minutes to come out. the floors were disgustingly filthy! Despite charging prices of a respectable restaurant, the floors were stickly like a dive bar. Every time you wanted to move e chair the legs were literally stuck to the floor. The owner is happy to take your money but not willing to clean the restaurant to a decent standard."

The carriage house was the perfect location to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. The food and drinks were spectacular and the staff was impeccable. I think we just about tried everything on the menu plus some of the specials. This place is definitely one I will be returning to and recommending to others! I can only imagine how he treated his customers in person, that sensitive baby. I went to the Carriage House with some visiting food lovers last weekend and we were all absolutely delighted with the ambiance, food and service. Between us we ordered lobster scampi, mussels provencal, blackened haddock and fried romaine and they were all fresh and delicious. However, it’s the staff that really makes this place so special, thanks to Joelle for happily working with me to accommodate time and seating changes, and our waiter Ben for cheerfully answering all of our questions!

The food lacked flavor overall. The shrimp cocktail tasted a week old, had no Old Bay seasoning, and was just slimy in a bowl. The salmon and scallops were decent, but the risotto and polenta underneath were ice cold and completely unseasoned. Everything was bland! The dessert was enjoyable, but if the main courses had been edible, we wouldn’t have felt the need to order it. The pizzas leaving the kitchen seemed like a better option. It’s disappointing to see how much the quality has declined.
