"While the prime rib and the mushrooms in my soup were tasty, the cream base wasn’t what I expected (I had initially wanted the French onion soup but was intrigued by the waiter’s recommendation). The filet was outstanding, rivaling the quality at Shula’s down the street. The Burgundy mushrooms were generously topped with gravy (see photo after they were mostly gone), but there was too much gravy for my liking. I imagined they would simply be sautéed in Burgundy wine, but they were still enjoyable. The sautéed spinach didn’t quite meet my expectations either; it had more stems than leaves. Next time, I think I’ll choose the green beans instead. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a relaxed and comfortable vibe inside. However, the few outdoor tables were quite hot in the afternoon sun. The only real downside was a swarm of tiny flying insects, which the waiter humorously dismissed by saying, "It's Florida." At least they weren’t love bugs!"

This place is great if you like that kind of thing. An older Lake Mary crowd. The hummus trio was huge— more than enough for 2. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This place offers an incredible selection of wines, along with excellent food pairing options. The owner is knowledgeable about wines and has an impressive collection that’s truly remarkable. It's a must-visit if you're in the Lake Mary area! View menu

The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but the food is excellent. The bartender was very friendly and even prepared a mocktail for the Buddhist member of our group. We really enjoyed the hummus sampler, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We dined in for dinner, and the price per person ranged from $30 to $50.

We hadn't been to The Vineyard in quite some time, and we thoroughly enjoyed our return. The restaurant's inviting decor creates a lovely atmosphere. My wife and I had a delightful dinner by the fireplace. Our server, Mari, was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. We also had the pleasure of chatting with Abby, who assisted Mari; we’ve known her for quite a while. We are really looking forward to our next visit! View menu

This was my fourth visit to this restaurant with my husband, and while the food is fantastic and the service is always top-notch, I've become increasingly concerned. During our last few visits, we've observed the manager, Rob, treating his employees with a lack of respect, which was difficult to witness. It got to the point where we felt we had to leave before my husband spoke up about it. We love this restaurant and its staff, but Rob's behavior is disappointing. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

I've never been so moved by food that it brought me to the brink of tears—until now! Every course was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the owner even stopped by later to check on us and see how everything was. The atmosphere was romantic, featuring soft lighting, intimate booths, and cozy alcoves. There was also a space available for larger groups for events. Additionally, they have a stunning glass wall showcasing a beautiful display of their extensive wine selection.

"Dear Gyu-kaku, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to Gyu-kaku on October 7 at 8:00pm. While I have had positive experiences at your restaurant in the past, this particular visit left me extremely dissatisfied. Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated at a table that was clearly inadequate for my party's needs. We had made a reservation for 10 people, but the table provided could only accommodate 8. This immediately set the tone for our experience. To make matters worse, a waitress (not my main waitress) rushed us through the meal. She told us to put food to our places so she can have spaces to put more trays of meat. However, this is BBQ and the food just arrived within 5 mins. The meat hasn't even done yet to be edible. I asked her to set the trays at another table and we can grab them when we're done with our current plates. She said she couldn't do that and we must divide the food now so she could have spaces to set more trays. It was very reasonable to rush your customers through the meal. We're paying for our dinings. Gyu-kaku is a place to enjoy high quality Japenese food, and the service should uphold the standards of its high quality, not this rude and unprofessionalism. I value the dining experiences I have had at Gyu-kaku in the past, which is why I am particularly disappointed by this recent visit. I believe that the issues I have outlined above do not align with the high standards I have come to expect from your establishment."

"They recently changed their hours, so now they only stay open until 8 PM. This is quite strange, especially since it's summer, the movie theater in El Paseo is much busier following the closure of the AMC theater in Vallco, and it’s not even dark yet at that time. I really think they’re missing out on a lot of potential business. Additionally, they've added a code to the bathroom door, which makes me wonder if they were having issues with non-customers using it previously. It’s hard to say. What I do know is that during my brief visit, everyone who was given the code had difficulty opening the door because it included a special character at the end of a long string of numbers that nobody could remember. On a brighter note, they serve delicious coffee and pastries, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The strawberry pop tart had a lovely pastry crust that seemed to have been brushed with egg white to give it a nice sheen. The filling tasted *exactly* like Smucker's strawberry jelly… In fact, I suspect it might have actually been Smucker's! Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to personal taste. However, I found it odd that while they offer several unusual ingredients for unique drinks, like turmeric and ginger for golden drinks, their selection of more standard flavored syrups is extremely limited. There’s no raspberry, no strawberry, and no other berry flavors—just chocolate, honey, coconut, and of course, turmeric. Their golden drinks have more of a winter flavor profile anyway, which is probably why they’re not currently on the menu. They have no specials at the moment (though they mentioned they can still make the turmeric drinks), zero fruit flavors, and a very limited selection of syrups. Come on, guys! Don’t rest on your laurels. What are you doing to stay competitive? Be sure to grab your turmeric latte before 8 PM!"
